Lenawee Intermediate School District
2008 High School Nature Art Competition

The ninth annual LISD Stubnitz Environmental Education Center Nature Art Competition drew fifty entries from high school students in Adrian, Hudson, Lenawee Christian, Onsted, Sand Creek, Tecumseh, and the LISD TECH Center Graphic Imaging class. Congratulations go to the two selected First Place winners, whose pieces are now on permanent display at Stubnitz Environmental Education Center:

Jennifer Cantley is a senior from Brittany Hurst's class at Lenawee Christian High School. Her piece, entitled "Paint the Turtle," is a realistic acrylic painting of turtles sunning themselves by a pond.
Brittany Wilson is a senior from Morenci who entered through Joel Beutler's Lenawee Intermediate School District TECH Center Graphic Imaging class. Her entry is a Photoshop-modified acrylic painting of a Great Horned Owl, called "Thunder Owl."
