Community Education Programs
Community education programs are offered at the Stubnitz Environmental Education Center (SEEC) periodically throughout the year. These special environmental programs are offered to the community audience, appealing to all ages.

Annual community activities and programs include:
- Environmental community education program topics include live animal programs, guided trail hikes, Nature-craft workshops, and sustainable living presentations.
- Annual Dinner Auction to Benefit Stubnitz Environmental Education Center is held each October at the Lenawee Country Club. Produced by a collaborative team of community businesses and organizations, this event includes Live and Silent auctions, a Fifty-fifty raffle, a Jewel in the Sand raffle, entertainment, and dinner. All proceeds go directly toward environmental education at SEEC. Click here for a brochure.
- Nature Art competition and Gallery is held each February. Artwork submitted by high school students from Lenawee County is displayed at SEEC throughout the month of February, with an evening Nature Art Gallery and Reception at the end of the month. Art entries are judged and then, two are purchased for permanent display at SEEC through a grant from the Stubnitz Foundation.
- City of Adrian’s Camp Adventure day camp program, held in the summer months, brings campers in groups of K-3 and 4-6 to SEEC for outdoor activities. Registration is through the City of Adrian Recreation Dept. 263-2161.
- Santa at Stubnitz weekend, another activity produced by the City of Adrian, brings the community to SEEC on a December Friday and Saturday night for crafts, a visit with Santa and a horse drawn wagon ride.
